Nutrition as it is: Jill Hull

Nutrition as it is - where we interview your average joe to find out what they eat! Meet Jill, a 30 year old Occupational Therapist from the beautiful mid-north coast of New South Wales. She is a bit of a whiz in the kitchen and is even known to have made her own garlic naan (which I have been fortunate enough to sample)!

Savoury or sweet?

Ahh maybe savoury.

Describe what you last ate:

A delicious hot cross bun with chocolate.

What is your favourite meal to eat out?

Ooh I would have to say it would be like a shared Asian meal. I like to share a mixture of different things.

Describe your favourite beverage:

I would say that it would either be a really nice fresh juice, or the opposite, like a peanut butter, chocolate, banana milky drink. It depends what mood I'm in.

If you could only choose one cuisine to eat for the rest of your like, what would it be?

I actually think I would go Thai... Or Italian, because Italian's have quite a mix.

Describe your lazy dinner meal:

I quite just like eggs on toast.

What is your pantry staple you can't live without?

I feel like couscous, which is weird, but it's just so easy and it goes with everything.

Describe your perfect cake:

I think it would be a cheesecake. Something with a biscuit base, so either a cheesecake or a banoffee. I really like the biscuit base.

What is the worst thing you have ever eaten?

It would be something of the texture of like an oyster or a snail. The texture is what I don't like. The flavors were fine, but the texture - yuck!

If you woke up for a midnight snack what would you choose?

Well probably just for a practical reason if I was needing a midnight snack it would be a banana. I don't often wake up for a midnight snack. Is it because I'm hungry or because I'm tired and emotional? My answer is still a banana. Because I only think there's been one time where I've woken up and I've been really hungry and I ate a banana.

What food would you like to be able to make from scratch?

That I would like to be able to make? That I haven't already? I feel like if there have been things that I've wanted to try then I've given them a crack. I told you - I'm above average. I've made yoghurt, that was something I wanted to make. Look I'm thinking haloumi. Because I've made ricotta, that takes a lot of milk. Yep, okay - lock in haloumi.

What are you craving most right now?

Dumplings!
