Nutrition as it is - where we interview your average joe to find out what they eat! To kick things off I did a bit of a self-interview so that 1: you can get to know me better, and 2: I just thought of this idea and really wanted to dig straight in! So here goes nothing...

Savoury or sweet?

Savoury, hands down.

Describe what you last ate:

I made a sort of chicken and vermicelli noodle salad with those awesome salad packs you get from Woolies with the chopped cabbage and little bag of tasty dressing and fried noodles.

What is your favourite meal to eat out?

Definitely breakfast! I love a really extravagant breakfast, preferably involving poached eggs and a side of grilled haloumi cheese.

Describe your favourite beverage:

If it's of the alcoholic variety give me anything with lychees in it - yum!

If you could only choose one cuisine to eat for the rest of your like, what would it be?

It's a toss up between Greek and Italian, but if it really came down to eat I'd say Greek.

Describe your lazy dinner meal:

If I was being really lazy - cereal. Otherwise if I was looking for something with a little more sustenance I'd have a veggie omelette on toast with avocado.

What is your pantry staple you can't live without?

Well clearly olive oil; but something else I always have available in my pantry is Moroccan Spice. It's my go to seasoning!

Describe your perfect cake:

Hmm I'm more of a savory than sweet person, but I could never turn down a cheesecake. I like it a bit zesty with lots of fresh raspberries with a nice thick base and a super velvety texture.

What is the worst thing you have ever eaten?

When I was in Cambodia we turned down this little side street in Phnom Penh with our ever-faithful guide leading us to visit a family of insect traders. I thought I would be brave and try one of Southeast Asia's most customary commodities. The ants weren't to bad, but the cockroach was by far the worst thing I have ever tasted.

If you woke up for a midnight snack what would you choose?

Probably a peanut butter sandwich.

What food would you like to be able to make from scratch?

I've always wanted to be able to make bread well. I add the 'well' in because I've made bread before... it just never turns out as good as the local trusty bakery. I don't just want to be able to make a loaf of bread either, I'd love to be able whip up foccacia, challah, bagels, naan, pita, babka...

What are you craving most right now?

A decent cup of coffee!
